Mayor Landrieu's cousin sentenced to house arrest, probation in road rage case

The sentencing comes from a road-rage incident in the Lower Garden District.

NEW ORLEANS -- Kenneth Landrieu, cousin of Mayor Mitch Landrieu, has been sentenced in a road rage case where he pulled a gun on another driver in the Lower Garden District.

The incident occurred in September of 2015, leading to an aggravated battery charge. Landrieu was convicted in July and faced up to 10 years in prison.

Friday, a judge sentenced him to one year house arrest and two years of probation. He also ordered Landrieu to attend anger management classes.
