More than 4,500 without power in third major outage in past week

NEW ORLEANS -- More than 4,500 people are without power in a section of New Orleans stretching from Mid-City to Central City.

According to Entergy, crews are working to determine the cause of the outage. They're estimating that power will be restored by 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, Dec. 1,  an equipment issue at the substation that feeds the French Quarter caused widespread power outages just before noon. The outage lasted for more than two hours, with most of the power being restored by 2:20 p.m.

Then, around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, about 4,000 people were without power in the Treme and Marigny areas.
