PLAQUEMINE, La. (AP) — A 21-year-old man accused of a fatal shooting at a motel on March 30 has been arrested.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/HoMpZm ) that Port Allen police on Friday arrested Jerome Harden around 11:30 a.m. Harden was taken to the Iberville Parish jail.
Investigators have said the March 30 shooting likely was the result of a botched robbery attempt. Iberville sheriff's Detective Hosea Anderson says Harden was booked with second-degree murder.
Anderson said more arrests could be forthcoming in the killing of Ryan Daley, 31, of Plaquemine.
Daley and three other people were inside a motel room when the shooter knocked on the door and shot Daley when the door was opened, according to sheriff's Chief Criminal Deputy Steven Engolio.
