16 injured from obstacle collapse at Warrior Dash event in St. Francisville

ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. -- At least 16 people were injured after an obstacle collapsed at the Warrior Dash event in St. Francisville Saturday according to our partners at WBRZ.

Acadian Ambulance spokesperson Justin Cox told WBRZ that 11 people were transported with "a wide range of injuries from minor to serious." He said others were injured but did not need to be transported from the scene.

Erin Foster, a spokesperson for the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office could not give an exact number of injured but said at least 16 people were hurt.

Sources tell WBRZ's Brett Buffington that 20 people may have been hurt, with one person in critical condition.

Cox said that a total of three emergency response helicopters, three Acadian Ambulance and two Air Evac helicopters, as well as at least five ground units, were dispatched to the scene.
