CHALMETTE, La. -- St. Bernard Sheriff's Deputies booked a man with two counts of attempted murder after he allegedly fired a gun at a woman holding a toddler.
According to Sheriff James Pohlmann, 21-year-old Devin Thornsberry allegedly fired a gun at a woman while she was holding her 2-year-old niece outside of her home on Juno Drive.
Police say Thornsberry, a New Orleans resident, was arguing with the woman when he pulled out a gun and fired one round, missing the woman and child. Thornsberry then fled the scene, but was apprehended by police nearby according to the sheriff.
No one was injured in the shooting or during Thornsberry's arrest according to police.
