Suspect identified in Algiers homicide

NEW ORLEANS -- Police are searching for the man they believe shot and killed a man in Algiers Saturday.

According to NOPD, 22-year-old Ronnie Smith fatally shot an unidentified man at the A&M Auto Repair in the 3300 block of General Meyer on Oct. 8.

Police were called to the scene of the shooting around 1:30 p.m. where they found the body of an unknown black male with multilpe gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Investigators identified Smith as a suspect. He is wanted for second degree murder.
