The Slidell Fire Department is currently investigating four arson-suspected fires, one of which destroyed a 127-year-old church, Wednesday night.

The four fires occurred at three different locations in the Indian Village area, and all three sites were located within a three-block radius.

The sites of the fires include the Light of the World Church, built in 1886, a tent on the property of the church, a vehicle that was being restored a few blocks away from the church, and a barn located between the church and the vehicle.

All three fires were reported within an hour of each other starting at 10:45 p.m.

Investigators believe the fires are linked and arson is suspected in all three.
