LAFOURCHE, La. -- A 48-year-old Alabama man has been extradited to Lafourche Parish on charges that he had sexual contact with a juvenile in the parish.
John Shirley, 48, was arrested during a traffic stop in Mobile County after it was found he had a warrant for his arrest in Lafourche.
He was then extradited back to Lafourche Parish, where he will face a charge of aggravated rape of a juvenile under 13 years of age. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Shirley, a Grand Bay, Ala. resident allegedly had sexual contact with the juvenile on several occasions over the span of two years.
