SLIDELL, La. -- A 13-year-old was arrested by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office for stabbing his mother's fiancé with a kitchen knife Sunday.
According to the sheriff's office, the man was attempting to discipline the boy. An argument ensued between the two and the boy grabbed a large kitchen and stabbed the man in the back.
The man was taken to Charity Hospital in New Orleans for treatment, said the sheriff's office, while the boy was taken to Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center, where he was booked for attempted second-degree murder.
