MANDEVILLE, La. - Sentencing for former mayor Eddie Price on tax evasion and fraud charges has been delayed yet again, fueling speculation that he is cooperating with with the feds on other matters.
Price was scheduled to receive his sentence this Thursday, April 22. He will now be sentenced on June 17.
"Usually when sentencing is delayed this many times, it's an indication that the person is cooperating with the feds," said Rafael Goyeneche of the Metropolitan Crime Commission.
Price pleaded guilty to the charges in October.
