Two hospitalized after float collapses in Slidell parade
The incident happened near Second Street and Robert Road around 1:20 p.m.
According to the float's captains, two tires blew out as the float was rounding a turn. Minutes after they stopped the float to change the tires, the second story and side collapsed, crushing those riding in the lower level of the float.
