NEW ORLEANS - High election day web traffic is causing some delays on the Louisiana Secretary of State's website.
Viewer emails to Eyewitness News pointed out the delays and problems accessing the state's geauxvote.com and sec.state.la.us web sites.
According to Meg Casper, a spokeswoman for Secretary of State Tom Schedler, high traffic may be prompting delays.
"The site and Geaux Vote app have been so popular that some voters are having trouble," Casper said.
She said the main sec.state.la.us website is operational, though there do seem to be occasional delays there as well.
Casper says people who are still in need of polling place or sample ballot information can call 1-800-883-2805 and speak to an operator.
