TICKFAW, La – A Loranger man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday, according to Louisiana State Police spokesman Trooper Nick Manale.

Around 8:30 a.m., Brandon Lala, 27, died at the scene of the crash on LA 442, two miles south of Interstate-55 in Tangipahoa Parish.

“The crash occurred as Lala was traveling west on LA 442 in his 1999 Dodge Ram when, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck drifted left across both the centerline and eastbound lane before running off road to the south side of the highway.  Upon leaving the paved roadway, the Dodge pickup crossed the roadside ditch and struck a utility pole with its right front corner,” said a statement from Manale.

Lala’s truck overturned and he was partially ejected from the truck. Lala was not wearing seatbelt, according to state police.
