SLIDELL, La. – A New Orleans man that police say shoplifted nearly $2,000 worth of baby formula in Slidell that he later sold in New Orleans has been arrested and charged with theft.
Slidell Police spokesman Kevin Foltz said 36-year-old Dwayne A. Robinson was arrested Friday morning and his car was impounded.
Foltz said Robinson and a female accomplice stole at least $2,000 worth of Enfamil baby formula on three different occasions from Wal-Mart stores in Slidell.
Foltz said Robinson told detectives that he and the woman sold the formula in New Orleans. Detectives do not believe they’ll be able to recover any of the merchandise.
The woman is expected to be identified soon and a warrant put out for her arrest.
