SLIDELL, La. -- Louisiana State Police say a person has died in a series of 10 or so accidents along I-12 in Slidell.
The accidents happened Tuesday afternoon between Airport Road and the I-12/I-10/I-59 split.
Officials haven't identified the person who died, and they haven't released any information on other possible injuries.
Troopers blame the accidents on bad weather and vehicles following too closely.
As of late Tuesday afternoon, I-12 was open, but troopers said to expect eastbound delays.
