COVINGTON, La.  – St. Tammany deputies are investigating the deaths of an elderly man and woman in the Chateau Loire area of Greenleaves subdivision, according to the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. George Bonnett.

Police believe the incident may be a murder-suicide. The deceased were identified as Alfredo and Lucy Glaudas.

“Deputies responding to a 911 hang up call at approximately 10:00 this morning found an elderly woman deceased in the home’s garage,” said Bonnett.  “An elderly male was found deceased in the backyard.”

Both individuals had gunshot wounds, according to police.

Why oh why? I thought that everyone was happy due to the Saints winning the NFC Championship and going to the Super Bowl. How could something like this even happen? Didn't they live all these years through thick and thin to finally see the Saints play in the Super Bowl and then just abruptly end their lives before seeing this historic event? This just absolutely doesn't make any sense.

HELLO HELLO, IS ANYBODY WITH A BRAIN WORKING THERE OR DID ALL OF YOU TAKE LEAVE WHEN THE SAINTS WON LAST WEEK???? I just watched the 5pm edition of the news and I am absolutly appalled at how the news was reported on this item. You have the nerve to say that the identity of the victims are being withheld till family members can be notified right after you show the house with the address and the name plaque next to the front door. How is this withholding the ids??????? Anybody who knows these people now know about what happened. God help the family members if they had not been contacted yet and was watching the local 5pm broadcast. In your rush to share local news , you have trampled all over this family and their feelings. I understand that it was a noteworthy subject but, just saying something about it was enough. No need to send a news crew out and get pictures of it for the broadcast.Im sure that this crew could have been better used someplace else other than there.
