COVINGTON, La. – A shoplifting suspect has been re-captured after escaping handcuffs and the locks on a police vehicle to get away after her initial arrest.

Covington Police said Erica Morse was arrested after a complaint was received of a shoplifter at the Family Dollar Store on Main Street around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, Morse was located in the same shopping center and placed under arrest. She was handcuffed behind her back while officers continued the investigation.
