COVINGTON, La. -- Two young girls seriously burned in a fire at their home last month could come back to Covington in two weeks.
The mother of 6-year-old Sa’Mia and 4-year-old Joshiri said the children are recovering at a Texas burn center much quicker than doctors expected.
In December, the girls were found in a back bedroom of their home after a fire sparked from a window AC unit. Their mother and two young brothers escaped safely with the help of a neighbor.
Their mother said the family is still in Texas while the girls attend therapy daily.
