Slidell, LA — A Slidell man has been arrested and charged with aggravated rape, aggravated incest, and two counts of producing pornography involving juveniles, Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell announced Wednesday.
Patrick Emerson, 54, was arrested on Feb. 21 as part of joint investigation that included the Attorney General’s Office, Homeland Security, the Slidell Police Dept. and the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators first executed a search warrant on Emerson’s home in November of 2013 for suspicion of possession of child pornography. A forensic exam of videos that were seized showed that Emerson didn’t just possess the material, but he produced it and was seen on the video sexually abusing the children in question.
Emerson was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail. If convicted, he faces life imprisonment at hard labor on the charge of aggravated rape, 99 years in prison on the charge of aggravated incest, and up to 20 years on each count of producing child pornography.
