COVINGTON, La. — Two men are being sought by St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s for armed robbery after authorities said they held up a pedestrian walking beside Violet Street on Saturday.

Jammal Calloway, and 18 year old from New Orleans, and Regis Chatman, a 21 year old from Covington, allegedly produced a hand gun and demanded money from a man near the Abita Nursery subdivision, Sgt. Sean Beavers said. The victim complied and the two assailants fled.

Beavers said through their investigation, both Calloway and Chatman were identified as the men responsible for the hold up. Police believe them to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact the Sheriff’s Office at 985-898-2338.
