SLIDELL, La. – A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with terrorizing after police said he texted another man asking for help in obtaining a gun to steal prescription drugs from a woman’s home.
Joshua A. Alred, 30, of Ashville was arrested Saturday by police.
According to Slidell Police spokesman Kevin Foltz, a 21-year-old acquaintance of Alred’s received a text message about help in getting a gun to rob a 44-year-old woman of her prescription drugs.
Foltz said the second man also talked about how Alred planned on dividing the proceeds but keeping most of the money for himself since he might have to kill some of the people in the home to get the drugs.
Foltz said the man told the woman and police about the plot and detectives took Alred in to custody, where they say he admitted to his part in the planned robbery.
