WASHINGTON, La. - State Police are investigating an accident on the Northshore that left two people dead and one man seriously injured, according to State Police spokesman Trooper Nick Manale.
The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. Monday on Highway 10 in Washington Parish, according to State Police.
Troopers say Joseph McNeese, of Franklinton, was traveling westbound when his truck crossed the center line and hit another truck head on.
McNeese was pronounced dead on the scene, according to State Police, and his passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck McNesse hit Hilbert Lewis, of Angie, was taken to hospital where he later died, according to State Police. None of the men were wearing a seat belt.
