BOGALUSA, La. – Two young men were found dead inside of a Bogalusa home Monday afternoon after a family member said calls to the home went unanswered.
Bogalusa Police Chief Joe Culpepper said he believes the killings happened between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. at a home on Main Street. Though he wouldn't say if the victims were shot, he did say his office believes the deahts were homicides.
The victims were identified as 21-year-old Alphonso Simmons and 23-year-old Justin Clark.
Dozens of family, friends and neighbors descended on the block, many in disbelief.
"I just never believed somebody would kill him," said Breanna Simmons, the sister of Alphonso Simmons, through sobs. "He made friends more than enemies. He was just an all-around person. We were a good family. That's what we came from."
