SLIDELL, La. - An argument over an alleged car break in led to a stabbing that left one man in critical condition and another in jail Sunday night.

According to Slidell Police, officers responding to a reported disturbance found a 23-year-old man suffering from severe stab wounds near the corner of Joy and Lori drives.

Police said that witnesses told them that the victim was arguing with 29-year-old Anthony Davis about an apparent break-in of the victim's vehicle the night before. Police said the argument became heated and Davis repeatedly stabbed the victim before fleeing.

The victim was transported to University Hospital and was listed in critical condition. Davis was tracked down by a K-9 unit and surrendered without incident. He was charged with attempted second-degree murder.
