NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Eyewitness Morning News continues its series of interviews with the candidates running for Orleans Parish Sheriff by welcoming the man who held the post for 40 years, and is looking to return to the job.

Charles Foti is 76-years-old, and a New Orleans native. The University of New Orleans and Loyola Law School graduate was Sheriff for 30 years, from 1974 until 2004, and then served as State Attorney General for one term.

There are four candidates in the sheriff's race, and Wednesday morning around 7:15 a.m. we'll hear from the incumbent, Marlin Gusman.

Early voting continues all this week for the February 1 elections and you can vote at three locations during the week, as well as the new location at Veterans and West End Boulevards, although that location is open only on Saturday.

Click here for more details on early voting as well as a sample ballot.
