BATON ROUGE – Governor Bobby Jindal issued the following statement on the results of the Presidential election:
“I want to congratulate President Obama on running and winning a hard-fought campaign. I also want to congratulate Governor Romney. The Governor ran a strong race and he and his team should be proud of the effort they waged.
“The long campaign season is now over. I know there are folks who want to analyze the campaign tactics and play Monday morning quarterback about the future of the political parties. There will be plenty of time to do that. Here in Louisiana, we will continue to do what we have always done, and that means standing up for our people and doing what we think is right no matter who is President.”
