Election analyst noted the extraordinary nature of Landrieu's landslide. With 77 percent of precincts reporting, Landrieu had 62 percent of the African-American vote and 69 percent of the white vote. He had also won all but one precinct and in that one he lost by a single vote to John Georges - 16 to 15.
