BATON ROUGE, La. - A state leader wants to delay the launch of Louisiana's new teacher evaluation system.
State Representative John Edwards filed a bill that would delay the teacher reviews until the 2013-14 school year.
On Wednesday, State Superintendent of Education John White announced that the evaluations will be ready for the fall.
But, Edwards argued that there are too many questions surrounding the reviews for them to be used that soon.
The legislation will be debated during the regular legislative session which begins March 12.
