Heads up! It's your last day to register to vote

NEW ORLEANS -- Tuesday is the final opportunity for Louisianans to register to vote in next month's presidential election.

Voter registration applications may be submitted online at geauxvote.com. Applications can also be printed from the geaux vote website and submitted by mail, but they must be received or postmarked by the Oct. 11 deadline.

Applicants registering to vote in person should bring valid identification that establishes identity, age and residency. Eligible voters must submit a current Louisiana driver’s license, if they have one, a birth certificate or other documentation which reasonably and sufficiently establishes identity, age and residency.

Residents without a photo ID can bring a utility bill, payroll check or government document that includes their name and address.

Early voting will be held from Oct. 25 through Nov. 1.
