RICHARDSON, Texas (AP) — Sen. Ted Cruz is touring North Texas this week with three events to address businessmen and civic leaders.
Cruz is scheduled to address a luncheon Tuesday at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce outside Dallas. On Wednesday, he is meeting with the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, followed by a Thursday meeting in Dallas at the Small Business Roundtable.
Cruz has gotten attention in his first months in Washington for his opposition to gun control, the health-care overhaul championed by Democrats and several of President Barack Obama's nominees.
The Senate is currently on a recess.
