The Los Angeles Lakers made the biggest splash of the offseason, acquiring defensive stalwart Dwight Howard on August 10 and two-time league MVP Steve Nash. The moves didn’t pay off right away for the Lakers who got off to a slow start in 2012, leading to a coaching change.
