City's best sno-balls
Hansen's Sno-Bliz

Hansen's is the city's most recognizable, and arguably the most famous sno-ball stand. For 72 years, from a tiny white-washed building on Tchouplitoulas Street, thousands and thousands of pounds of ice has been ground down to make an untold number of snowballs.
An insistence on no corn syrup, using only cane sugar instead to make homemade syrups and "super fine snow" -- something you'd want to ski or snowboard on is the consistency they look for, I'm told -- and layering flavors is the secret to this icon's success.
