Betty Jefferson
The sister of former Congressman William Jefferson, Betty Jefferson and her daughter Angela Coleman pleaded guilty in February 2010 to conspiracy to commit mail fraud, aggravated identity theft, money laundering and tax evasion. She was found guilty of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the state through bogus charities.
