Mose Jefferson
Mose Jefferson, the brother of former Congressman William Jefferson, was found guilty in August 2009 on four of seven counts in his federal bribery trial. Jefferson was found guilty of two counts of bribing an agent of organization receiving of federal funds and two counts of obstruction of justice.
Mose Jefferson was accused of bribing former Orleans Parish School Board President Brooks-Simms $140,000 to vote for and use her influence to get the school district to buy a learning software, "I Can Learn," that he was behind.
