Former Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Jiff Hingle pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and bribery. Prosecutors said businessman Aaron Bennett gave Hingle money to help steer work to his company Benetech and to look the other way when bills were submitted.
