NEW ORLEANS - It was in January that Paula Deen, host of the Food Network's "Paula's Best Dishes" show, let the world know that she had type 2 diabetes.
Reaction was at first harsh, with many blaming her for promoting a style of cooking that's unhealthy.
Now, she's on the road promoting new recipes and hosting a free "Diabetes in a New Light" cooking demonstration.
WWL-TV was lucky enough to have her in our kitchen.
Deen will have her cooking tips to share with you at her free cooking demonstration on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Morial Convention Center for the National Medical Association Convention.
