From musicians and artists to politicians and athletes, 2009 saw the death of a number of famous men and women who called New Orleans home.
They include a former governor (Dave Treen), the nation's longest-serving law enforcement officer (Manuel Curry), and a football star whose life ended tragically and prematurely (Chris Henry), among others.
