News that 19 people were shot during a Mother's Day Parade in New Orleans has shocked the country. It's not the first time that gunfire has erupted at these normally peaceful events. Here are several shootings in the past five years that happened either at or near a parade route.
On September 25, 2010, 2-year-old Jeremy Galmon was killed after gunfire broke out Sunday afternoon near the vicinity of where a second line had taken place. Galmon was in the car with his grandmother when a stray bullet pierced their windshield and hit him in the face. He later died at the hospital.
