05) Authorities look for clues in shooting that left St. John deputies dead
In a burst of violence that shocked the southeast Louisiana region, two St. John Parish deputies were killed and two others were wounded in August.
Deputies Jeremy Triche and Brandon Nielsen were killed in the incident, an deputies Jason Triche and Michael Scott Boyington survived their injuries. More than a half dozen suspects were arrested in the case.
The community came out in droves to their funerals to pay respect and show support for their bravery and sacrifice in the line of duty.
