SPOKANE-- A business owner says she will have to rebuild after a car drove into her business early Thanksgiving morning.

It happened just before 4:00 a.m. near the intersection of Division and Hawthorne at Didier’s Yogurt & More.

Police say a minivan crashed into the south side of the building and drove at least 20 feet inside. The vehicle went far enough to cause damage to the north side of the business.

Two teenage girls were involved in the crash, and police say alcohol and speed are factors. The girls reportedly walked away from the scene after the collision and were hiding nearby. Police say one of the girls called her parents, who brought the girls back to the scene. The girls suffered cuts and bruises but are expected to be okay.

Police say the 17-year-old driver will be cited with a DUI, reckless driving, and a hit-and-run. The passenger will be charged with an MIP.
