NEW ORLEANS - More preparations for Super Bowl 47 got underway in New Orleans on Monday.
Decatur Street will be shutdown for a few hours during the week for filming and broadcast activities related to game on February 3.
CBS Super Bowl Park will be located in Jackson Square.
Work on the park was set to start at midnight but was delayed until 7 a.m. Monday due to the rain.
Ground cover was the first thing delivered to protect the grass and surface in Jackson Square.
Four stages are set to be built that will host 15 CBS programs on CBS Network, CBSSports.com and CBS Radio. Shows such as "CBS Evening News," "NFL Today" and "The Talk" will utilize the stages.
Another stage will be set up across the street from the Square in Washington Artillery Park for CBS affiliates from around the country. The location will give affiliates access to shots of Jackson Square.
Residents and visitors can go to the Super Bowl Park throughout Super Bowl week to watch the broadcasts and tapings.
Decatur Street will be closed between midnight and 4 a.m. during the week in order for crews to set up.
