Woman, 3-year-old daughter killed as storms hit Breaux Bridge

BREAUX BRIDGE, La. -- A woman and her 3-year-old daughter were killed Sunday morning after what may have been a tornado flipped their home.

According to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, 38-year-old Francine Gotch and her daughter, 3-year-old Neville Alexander were inside a trailer in the 1100 block of Zin Zin Road around 9:30 a.m. when strong winds, possibly a tornado, flipped the trailer.

Neither of them survived.
