SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Authorities in Puerto Rico have issued arrest warrants for 14 people accused of selling drugs to tourists on the popular island of Culebra.

Justice Secretary Guillermo Somoza says the suspects face a total of 29 charges. He said the drugs were being brought in from the Puerto Rican island of Vieques and from St. Croix and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

He said agents on Tuesday seized 245 marijuana packets and 27 cocaine packets from a house where one of the suspects was arrested.

He said the suspected leader of the drug trafficking operation would sell nearly $14,000 worth of drugs in one day.
