KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — The headless body of a farmer has been found in a rural district in central Jamaica.

Police said Sunday they are still searching for the head of 42-year-old Berris Thompson who hails from a small town in Manchester parish in Jamaica's mountainous interior. His beheaded body was found next to a charcoal kiln on Saturday.

Thompson was last seen alive when he left his home shortly before dawn on the same day his body was discovered.

There have been no arrests, and detectives have offered no possible motive for the slaying.
