SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) — Dominican authorities have arrested a Canadian man they say is wanted in his country on charges of child sexual exploitation.
Police said Friday that 59-year-old Michel Levis of Quebec had been sought by Interpol since last June.
They said Levis was detained while driving in the popular tourist spot of Puerto Plata.
It is unclear when he entered the Dominican Republic.
Dominican police say that 11 foreign men have been arrested on child exploitation charges since 2007, including five Canadians.
