NEW ORLEANS -- He's been mentioned as a possible candidate for new orleans mayor, but Wednesday night, former Councilman Eddie Sapir is still being non-committal.

Sapir had a fundraiser party that was strategically packed with people in their 20s and 30s. The name of the group hosting is called Run Eddie Run. Sapir said it's because everywhere he goes people tell him he should run.

He still won't confirm that he's running and said that how much money he raises won't be a deciding factor on whether he runs.

"This race is not about money, it's not about the color of your skin," Sapir said. "It's about moving this great city forward and who is most qualified to do it. Unequivocally, that's what Eddie Sapir brings to the table."

Sapir is 71 years old, making him the oldest of the candidates. He served on the City Council from 1994 to 2007 and said he's never lost a race in which he's run.

Give it up Eddie! Who are you trying to fool? Its always about money with you. All you are looking for is a $$$ kickback $$$ in return for an endorsement. You have been the problem at City Hall for decades.
