NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans police arrested a teenager Sunday in connection with a fatal shooting that happened just hours before in the South Carrollton area.
Officer Janssen Valencia, a spokesman for the NOPD, said police arrested 18-year-old Kevin Franklin in his home at 1826 Joliet St., which is about a block from where the shooting took place.
The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Joliet Street, where a 33-year-old man was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, Valencia said. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Valencia said Franklin was booked with second-degree murder and possession of narcotics.
