NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD has arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the Tuesday night armed robbery of four people in the Marigny Triangle area.
Brandy Bass was picked up Friday morning by members of the NOPD Violent Offender Unit and the U.S. Marshal's Office in Jefferson Parish.
The armed robbery occurred around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Dauphine Street.
Detectives said that after Bass robbed the victims at gunpoint, he jumped into the passenger's side of a late model, silver, 4-door Chevrolet HHR.
Police said the victims got a partial set of numbers from the license plate and detectives found that it was owned by Enterprise Rentals and had been rented by Bass.
According to police, Bass is currently on parole for Illegal Carrying of a firearm and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine until December of this year.
Bass is currently being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for warrants and an unrelated weapon charges. Bass will be brought to Orleans Parish and charged with four counts of Armed Robbery.
