NEW ORLEANS - A second person is being sought in connection with a shooting near a school bus that severely wounded a 13-year-old boy on Wednesday in Central City.

Police say they are looking for 17-year-old Ronald Books and have a warrant for him on aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal discharge of a weapon charges.

Another 17-year-old, Georval Lewis, was arrested in connection with the shooting Wednesday night.

Police say both Brooks and Lewis opened fire around 4:40 p.m. near the corner of Eagle and Forshey Streets. They say one of the bullets fired ripped through the back of the 13-year-old victim, causing one of his lungs to collapse.

Police said Lewis told them that he began shooting after someone fired on one of his friends.
