NEW ORLEANS - One man was killed and three women injured in a shooting in the 1500 block of Lafreniere Street shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday night, police said.

The shooting happened near a bar in that block. Bullets also flew into a nearby home.

According to police, when officers arrived to the scene they found a man lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Three women were also injured in the shooting. A 25-year-old female suffered a gunshot wound to the wrist, a 22-year-old female suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and an unidentified female suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder. They were all transported to the hospital and are listed in stable condition. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members.

The NOPD is asking the public's help in finding a 4-door silver Chrysler Sebring with tinted windows.  Witnesses told police that shots were fired from this vehicle at the time of the shooting.
